Christmas at our house was fantastic!! We decided that we were going to stay home for the holidays--yeah, that whole buying plane tickets for Thanksgiving and Christmas was not working into our budget this year. I think both Craig and I were a little sad since this was our first Christmas without either one of our families, but we made the best of it!! We fully realized that NEXT Christmas is going to be sooo different than this one!
Craig was in charge of Christmas cooking since I had to work both Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas and he made a feast. Seriously. The fact that it was only going to be the two of us and not the entire armed forces did not really factor into his cooking plans. But the food (as always when Craig cooks) was delicious. We just had a very simple day with lots of rest and lots of quiet time.
